Water, restroom, shelter information

Not all lesson and clinic locations will have a pavilion/shelter, water or bathroom facilities immediately available, so please plan ahead.

Riding equipment

All participants must arrive with a maintained, fully functioning mountain bike fit off-road use.

All Participants must wear a helmet that is certified to the CPSC standard at all times while on a bike - no exceptions.

We recommend participants wear protective eye-wear especially for on trail portions of lessons and clinics.

We also suggest gloves and knee pads for protection. (elbow pads and shin guards also recommended)

A small bag (hydration pack or small backpack) is useful for carrying spare clothing, food, water, and equipment especially for longer lesson and clinics where we’ll be away from “home base” for an extended period of time.

Other concerns

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport with unpredictable risks. Minor injuries (scrapes, sprains, scratches, and bruises) can occur, as well as major injuries (concussions, broken bones, and heart attacks). There is always a chance of catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death.

All clients are required to sign Ride Inspired Instruction LLC’s waiver prior to the start of the lesson. By doing so they are indicating that they fully understand and agree to assuming responsibility for the risks and dangers by participating in mountain biking and that they know of no personal disability or medical condition, physical or mental, which may affect their ability to take part in the lesson, clinic or guided ride.

Our instructors will provide students with training in an appropriately safe working environment and provide them with a fully qualified and insured coach. Participants will never be placed under any pressure to perform skills and will fully participate under their own free will. It is advisable to check that your insurance policy covers adventure activities.

Participants should at all times ride within their own limits. Ride Inspired Coaching LLC accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury to persons or property who are participating in a Ride inspired coaching LLC Lesson, Clinic, or Guided ride.
